The Walk

May 17-18-19, 2002

"The journey is the reward" ~Taoist Saying

2002 Boston 3-Day Cheering Stations

The journey begins now!  We have already started our training to complete the long 60 mile walk.  It will be challenging, exciting, difficult and even discouraging at times but we are planning to walk every step of every mile.

While participating in the walk, we will be very well taken care of.  We will live in a Mobile City, a sea of 2-person tents that will be our home for the three days.  Meals will be provided - everything from breakfast, lunch and dinner to the stops along the way of the walk route.  Shower and bathroom trucks will be on hand as will the gear truck, which will carry our gear from the starting point in the morning to the destination at the end of the day.  We'll even be provided with evening entertainment after our long days.

Most importantly, we'll have every service we could ever think of to take care of us during the 3-day.  Medical professionals are on hand at all times, along with massage therapists and other services to help all the walkers with anything they need.
