How much money has been raised through past 3-day
walks?
Last year, 3,042 people walked in the Boston 3-day. They
raised $5 million dollars net for breast cancer. That was just one
city - in 2001, there were 3-day walks in 9 cities across the country.
In 2002, there will be 13 3-day walks. That's a lot of money to find a
cure for breast cancer.
How can I help?
The money we each raise, a minimum of $1,900 will go to the
Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day fund. Our money will be combined with that of
the other 2,500+ walkers participating in the Boston 2002 3-Day. Then,
the money is added to the other 11 3-Day walks around the country. Those
walks each have a minimum of 2,500 walkers each earning at least $1,900.
Then, Avon Products, Inc. adds in the net proceeds from the sale of the
Crusade's special "pink ribbon" products.
When you think of it in those terms, that's a lot of money.
And it's contributions like yours that make this all possible.
